My Family Tree

This is mixed media piece that was inspired in working on my family tree. The sepia toned trunk are our past, those relatives that have gone before us. The leaves are the current generations of our family. In the background are recipe pages from my grandmother's cookbooks. On each side of the tree are transparent images of the pets who have owned us and the houses we have lived in. There is a garden of virtures with Dymo label stems and button flowers. This piece was a gift to my mother.
